She is running away into Sunday night through the empty airport. Unannounced and uninvited random thoughts come and go for no specific reason. The plane is waiting on her… She dazes into the flight and gets lost in re-living the blur of the last 48 hours. Old friendships coming together; old friends getting older. Black, white and blue photographs are bringing back the daze and the euphoria of being alive. Familiar faces, unfamiliar places.
Swollen ankle is hurting from the distant memory of her Friday night and blends in with a vague touch of his lips on hers. Upset and pushed into the passenger's seat is clouded by his kisses on her back as her mind slowly fades away into the sunrise. Coffee. An irritating rhetorical question about the whereabouts of the "old" her is still stuck in her head as his hands are on her waist. Street lights and cigarette smoke is all she sees as she is leaning against the wall, while he leans over to kiss her again and again. Why did he kiss her? Uncertainty... Landing...
As the humidity outside makes it hard to breath, the awaited nicotine rush hits her shaking hands. The next couple of hours will be spent on the airport bench, watching people go by...
